Kate moved in with her mother in 2013. What was meant to be a temporary situation became permanent as her mother’s cognitive abilities declined. Alice can no longer care for herself, and Kate has pledged to keep her at home as long as possible. Caregiving is hard so Kate started this page to both track Alice’s decline and to help other caregivers as they navigate this new reality.
